Zincofax Extra Strength works by using its high concentration of zinc oxide to treat and prevent severe diaper rash and provide temporary relief for minor skin irritations. Zinc oxide works as a mild astringent and has some antiseptic properties, which help to soothe and protect the affected area.
Zincofax Extra Strength Ointment is for external use only. If it comes into contact with your eyes, thoroughly rinse them with water. It is typically applied to the affected areas several times daily on an as needed basis. Be sure to wash the affected area with soap and water and dry thoroughly before applying zinc oxide.
To treat diaper rash with Zincofax Extra-Strength, apply it at every diaper change until the redness disappears. To prevent diaper rash, apply Zincofax Extra-Strength daily to create a protective barrier. Clean and dry the affected area before applying the ointment, and to avoid contact with eyes.
Do not give Zincofax to anyone else, even if they have the same symptoms as you do. It can be harmful for people to use the Ointment if their doctor has not prescribed it.
