Take no pills for the next 7 days because you are supposed to get your period and then begin your next pack. Do not take it more than 24 hours apart because it will increase your risk of becoming pregnant (except on the Yasmin 21 day pack when you are on the 7 day no pill period). It is very important to continue the pill every day, make sure your prescription gets refilled before the pills run out completely. When taking Yasmin, you may experience breakthrough bleeding. Let your doctor know if this continues or becomes very heavy. Inform all medical doctors and surgeons that you are using Yasmin because you may need to stop taking Yasmin for a short period of time. Do not take this medication if you are pregnant because it can cause birth defects to an unborn baby. Also, do not take Yasmin if you are allergic to drospirenone or ethinyl estradiol; have a history of stroke, blood clot, circulation problems (especially if caused by diabetes); an adrenal gland disorder; a history of jaundice caused by birth control pills; kidney or liver disease; a heart valve disorder, migraine headaches, severe high blood pressure; breast or uterine cancer; abnormal vaginal bleeding.
