Stieva-A Cream is a prescription medication used to treat acne and other skin conditions as determined by a doctor. It can be indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, primarily where comedones, papules and pustules predominate. However, it is not effective in most cases of severe pustular and deep cystic nodular varieties of acne conglobate.

Stieva-A Cream contains the active ingredient Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A. It works by causing the skin’s outer layer to grow more quickly and be replaced with new skin cells, which helps to keep skin pores clear. It is available in different strengths, including 0.01%, 0.025%, and 0.05% tretinoin, and should only be used under the guidance of a doctor or dermatologist.

Apply a small amount of Stieva-A Cream on your fingertip and spread it on the skin where acne lesions appear. Use only enough medication to cover the affected areas lightly. Avoid rubbing the medication into the skin. Here are the steps for how to use Stieva-A Cream:

  1. Wash your face with a mild soap or cleanser, then pat it dry with a towel.
  2. Wait for your skin to completely dry (usually 15-20 minutes) before applying Stieva-A Cream.
  3. Apply a small amount of cream to the affected areas of the skin, usually once daily at bedtime or as directed by your doctor.
  4. Rub the cream in gently and evenly over the skin.
  5. Wash your hands immediately after using Stieva-A Cream.
  6. Avoid applying the cream around the eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes.

Do not use Stieva-A Cream more frequently than directed or for a longer period than recommended by your doctor. It should only be used externally, and not applied to areas of broken skin, lips, eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Tretinoin should not be applied to areas of the skin where you have other problems such as eczema, severely inflamed skin, or open skin lesions.

Apply Stieva-A Cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
