ProAir Respiclick (active ingredient: albuterol sulfate) is a prescription medication indicated for:

  • Bronchospasm: ProAir Respiclick is used to treat and prevent bronchospasm in patients with reversible obstructive airway disease, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

ProAir Respiclick belongs to a class of drugs known as short-acting beta agonists (SABAs), which work by relaxing the muscles in the airways and increasing airflow to the lungs.

The ProAir RespiClick inhaler is a powder inhaler that is taken orally. For treatment of acute episodes of bronchospasm or prevention of symptoms associated with bronchospasm, the recommended dosage for adults and children 4 years of age or older is 2 inhalations repeated every 4 to 6 hours. More frequent administration or a larger number of inhalations is not recommended.

To use the ProAir RespiClick powder inhaler, follow these steps:

  1. Hold the inhaler upright with the red cap facing downwards.
  2. Pull the red cap back all the way until it clicks.
  3. Breathe out completely, away from the inhaler.
  4. Put the mouthpiece between your lips and close your lips tightly around it.
  5. Breathe in quickly and deeply through your mouth.
  6. Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for up to ten seconds or as long as you comfortably can.
  7. Breathe out slowly.
  8. If you need to take a second dose, wait at least one minute before repeating the above steps.

Remember to read the instructions that come with your ProAir RespiClick inhaler and consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns. Use the inhaler correctly to get the full benefit of the medication.
