Myoflex Cream Regular (generically known as Triethanolamine Salicylate) is a topical analgesic cream used for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, strains, sprains, bruises, and backaches.

Triethanolamine salicylate is a salicylate, or a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), that is applied topically to the skin. It works by blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation.

When Myoflex Cream Regular is applied to the skin, it is absorbed into the underlying tissues and can provide relief for minor aches and pains associated with muscles and joints such as arthritis, strains, sprains, bruises, and backaches.

Myoflex Cream Regular Muscle Rub is intended only for use on the skin and should not come into contact with your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. If contact occurs, rinse the affected area with plenty of water.

Apply the medication to the affected area no more than three to four times per day, rubbing it in gently and thoroughly. After applying the cream, wash your hands unless you are treating your hands.

Avoid applying the cream to broken or irritated skin, and do not bandage or tightly wrap the affected area or use heat, such as a heating pad, as it could increase the risk of side effects. For more information, please consult your pharmacist.

If you use Myoflex on a regular basis, put on a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal schedule. Be sure not to put on two doses or extra doses. Myoflex is often used on an as-needed basis, but do not use more than directed by your healthcare provider.
