Motrin Children’s Bubblegum is an oral suspension medicine used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains due to the common cold, flu, sore throat, headache, and toothache, as well as to reduce fever for children aged 2-11 years.
It contains ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) pain-reliever and fever-reducer. Ibuprofen works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, which are substances in the body that cause fever, inflammation, and pain. By inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, ibuprofen can relieve pain and reduce fever.
The child-friendly bubblegum flavor of the medicine makes it easier for children to take, and it comes with an enclosed dosing cup to facilitate accurate dosing according to the instructions provided.
The Motrin Children’s bubblegum oral suspension comes with an enclosed dosing cup that can make it easy to measure the correct amount for your child’s age and weight. Shake the bottle well before use and then use the dosing cup to measure the correct amount of medicine. It can be taken with or without food.
The dosage is based on the child’s weight and age, and it is typically administered every 6-8 hours as needed but no more than four times in 24 hours. Be taken with food or milk if a child experiences stomach upset.
Do not give it to children under two years of age unless directed by a doctor. Additionally, avoid giving your child other medicine that contains ibuprofen or other NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) while they are taking Motrin Children’s Bubblegum.
