Metro Lotion is a prescription topical medication used topically to treat the symptoms of rosacea. It may help to decrease redness, swelling, and other symptoms associated with this skin condition. It contains the active ingredient Metronidazole. Metronidazole works by reducing redness, swelling, and inflammation associated with this skin condition.
Metro Lotion can be used to treat infections caused by bacteria and other microorganisms. It is available by prescription only and should only be used as directed by a healthcare professional.
Use Metro Lotion on the skin only. Apply the Lotion twice daily, morning and evening, to the entire affected area after washing. Use Metro Lotion exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
To use Metro Lotion, wash and dry your hands before and after applying the lotion. Wash and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of the lotion twice daily, morning and evening, or as directed by your doctor. For some strengths of metronidazole topical, your doctor may advise you to apply a thin film once daily to the affected area. Wait for 5 minutes before applying any cosmetics.
Avoid using the lotion around the eye area, unless directed by your doctor, as it may cause watery eyes or tearing of the eyes. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than recommended. If you accidentally get the lotion in your eyes, rinse them with large amounts of cool water.
