Imitrex Nasal Spray belongs to a class of drugs known as triptans (or selective serotonin receptor agonists), which work by stimulating serotonin receptors in the brain to constrict blood vessels and reduce inflammation, thereby alleviating headache symptoms.
To use the spray, you should first gently blow your nose to clear the nostrils. Then, tilt your head back slightly and close one nostril by pressing your index finger on one side of your nose.
