Then, attach the transmitter to the sensor. The transmitter sends glucose data wirelessly to the receiver.
Once the sensor and transmitter are properly in place, start the sensor on the receiver by following the instructions provided in the Dexcom G6 user guide or manual. This step enables the receiver to begin displaying your glucose readings. The Dexcom G6 Receiver will display your glucose information on its touchscreen. You can view trends, set up alerts and alarms for high and low glucose levels, and use the receiver to make diabetes treatment decisions. Note that the Dexcom G6 system provides real-time glucose readings.
