Cutivate Cream (active ingredient: fluticasone) is a prescription medication indicated for the following:

  1. Atopic Dermatitis: Cutivate Cream is used for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of atopic dermatitis.
  2. Psoriasis: It is indicated for the treatment of plaque psoriasis, helping to reduce redness, thickness, and scaling.
  3. Eczema: Cutivate Cream is also used to manage eczema by alleviating inflammation and itching.

Cutivate Cream belongs to a class of drugs known as topical corticosteroids, which work by reducing inflammation, swelling, and irritation in the affected skin areas.

Cutivate cream is typically applied to the affected area of skin once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. To use Cutivate cream, you should first wash your hands and the affected area of skin with soap and water. Dry the area completely before applying the cream. Then, apply a thin film of Cutivate cream to the affected area of skin once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Rub the cream into the skin gently, and avoid getting the cream in your eyes, nose or mouth. Do not cover the affected area with a bandage or dressing, unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Use Cutivate cream as directed by your healthcare provider, and avoid using it for longer than recommended, as this can increase the risk of side effects. Use the cream only for the condition prescribed. Do not apply large amounts of this medication, use it more often, or use it for longer than prescribed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects may increase.

You will usually use fluticasone cream or ointment once or twice a day for up to 4 weeks. Only use it for longer than 4 weeks if your doctor tells you to. If you use it twice a day, try to leave a gap of 8 to 12 hours between doses.
