Dexilant (active ingredient: dexlansoprazole) is a prescription medication indicated for:

Dexilant is available in delayed-release capsules and should be taken by mouth as directed by a medical doctor, typically once daily with or without food. Do not crush or chew the capsules. Swallow this medication whole. If you have trouble swallowing this medication whole, the capsules can be opened and sprinkled on applesauce. If your symptoms typically occur after a meal, your doctor may advise you to take your dose each day before the same meal for optimal results.

The recommended dosage and length of treatment for Dexilant depends on your medical condition and response to treatment. Take Dexilant at the same time each day and take the entire dose, even if you are feeling better. Your doctor may recommend that you take Dexilant for up to 8 weeks.
