Vyloma Cream (active ingredient: imiquimod) is a prescription medication indicated for the following:

  1. Actinic Keratosis: Vyloma Cream is used to treat actinic keratosis on the face or scalp in adults, a condition characterized by rough, scaly patches on the skin caused by long-term sun exposure.
  2. Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma: It is also indicated for the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer, in patients who are not suitable for surgical removal of the lesion.
  3. External Genital and Perianal Warts: Vyloma Cream is used to treat external genital and perianal warts (condyloma acuminata) in patients 12 years of age and older.

Vyloma Cream belongs to a class of drugs known as immune response modifiers, which work by stimulating the immune system to produce cytokines that help fight abnormal skin growths, infections, and certain skin cancers.

Apply Vyloma Cream to the skin. It is used by applying it to the affected area, once daily. You may apply up to 1 full actuation of the pump to the treatment area.

To use the cream, follow these steps:

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Wash the area to be treated with mild soap and water and allow it to dry.
  3. Apply a thin layer of cream to the area to be treated, just before going to sleep.
  4. Rub the cream into the skin until it disappears.
  5. Wash your hands.
  6. Leave the cream on the area for the amount of time your doctor has told you to do so. Do not bathe, shower, or swim during the time.
  7. After the treatment time is over, wash the area with mild soap and water to remove any cream.

Use Vyloma Cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose, and apply the cream at bedtime the next night. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
