Insomnia (Off-label)

Secondary to Depression: 5-20 mg after meal over an 8-week period
Secondary to panic disorder in women: 5-10 mg after meal over an 8-week period

Escitalopram oxalate may cause serious and potentially life-threatening lung complications in newborns whose mothers have taken the medication during pregnancy.
